How Big Polluters are advancing a “net-zero” climate agenda to delay, deceive, and deny

African Center for Advocacy joins climate justice activists across the world to launch “The Big Con: How Big Polluters Are Advancing a “Net Zero” Climate Agenda to Delay, Deceive, and Deny”. The report was published by Corporate Accountability, the Global Forest Coalition, and Friends of the Earth International, and is endorsed by over sixty environmental organizations.

“ The Big Con” uncovers the dubious arithmetic, vague targets and often unachievable technological aspirations of big polluters’ “net zero” plans. It analyses plans from key polluting industries including energy, aviation, technology, retail, finance, and agriculture. It also looks at some of the strategies these industries have deployed to ensure their “net zero” agenda becomes the primary dogma of the global response to the climate crisis.
