The girls were taught best ways on how to better cater for themselves during their menstrual periods. They were also taught better menstrual hygiene methods, how to properly dispose of used pads especially in situations where they don’t have access to pit toilets, amongst others.
ACA went along with a health personnel, Ngefor Angele a practicing nurse who further explained menstrual abnormalities, menstrual cycle and also demonstrated to the girls, how to properly place pad on their pants.
The young girls posed questions and got answers from health personnel especially concerning other alternatives for pads.
